Preparation

Preparing a surface for cleaning is dependant on the surface as well as why pressure cleaning is required. For example, a different chemical is required to remove paint from concrete than is needed to remove oil from concrete. First the surfaces are generally given a quick brush down to remove any top layer of the stain, and then a coat of the relevant chemical is applied. This is then agitated into the surface to really get into it and help to break up and lift the stain. Occasionally some absorption time is required to make sure the chemical is able to properly break up the stain in preparation for removal.

Equipment

Process

As mentioned in the above, first a suitable chemical is applied to the surface that requires cleaning. This is then scrubbed into the surface to ensure it is penetrated as deep as possible into the stain to allow maximum efficiency of the chemical. Once then chemical has completed its function, we then adjust the PSI of our high pressure washing equipment to one that is suitable for the surface. We then use the pressure cleaner to extract both the chemical and the stain for a clean surface.
